Nando Rodriguez
Senior Manager for Environmental Programming at The Brotherhood Sister Sol (BroSis)
Nando Rodriguez was born and raised in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, but lived for several years in the Dominican Republic.
He joined Brotherhood Sister Sol in 1995, in its first youth cohort and subsequently earned a BA in Liberal Studies with a minor in Environmental Science from SUNY Purchase. Nando joined BroSis staff in 2005.
He coordinates all of BroSis’s environmental programming, managing a 6,000 sq. ft. NYC Parks Department Green Thumb Garden and Environmental Education Center. He has co-facilitated Independent Study Programs to Ghana and to Dominican Republic/Puerto Rico.
Nando is certified in Green Living Technology, Participatory Design, and Edible Wall and Green Roof design.

Dr. Benjamin Freud
Dr. Benjamin Freud is an educator, learning dialogist, writer, and podcaster.
He is also the Head of Upper School and Strategic Lead, Regenerative Education at Green School Bali, where he oversees the Middle and High School learning programs.
He currently leads the design and implementation of the school’s Biomimicry for Regenerative Design (BiRD) curriculum, a first of its kind approach in K-12 that creates learning experiences in service of Life.
He is the co-founder of Coconut Thinking, an advisory that helps and supports educators nurture learning ecosystems grounded in relationships that contribute to the thriving of the bio-collective—any living thing that has an interest in the healthfulness of the planet.

"One of my big passions is in understanding how policies and systems create and sustain inequality. So for my greenstone, I am structurally mapping labour invisibility and the informal work sector in Bali, exploring systems like economy, tourism, colonial narratives, culture + gender, governance + law, and gentrification to visualize the forces behind this issue. Overall, the aim is exposure and awareness: awareness of what's actually happening, as well as awareness of the role each individual plays in supporting the system, benefiting and extracting from it, or being disadvantaged by it".

"I’m currently in Grade 12, about to graduate, and completing my final capstone project, Greenstone. My project explores the link between limited access to safe drinking water and plastic pollution in Indonesia. A large portion of my project was shaped by a visit to a remote school in Lombok, where I saw how unsafe water sources push communities to rely on bottled water, creating a cycle of plastic that impacts both the environment and health. That experience led me to focus not just on providing one-time solutions, but on how education, awareness, and advocacy can address these challenges".

Sherry Johnson
Dr. Sherry Johnson is the Tribal Education Director for the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate for the past 9 years. She is the administrator over numerous grants and programs. She networks with the tribal and public school districts and all programs dealing with education, facilitates communication and promotes educational excellence for the members of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate. Her past experiences include being a Superintendent at a school district for 15 years and working as a Teacher for 10 years at a tribal school. She earned her Doctorate from the University of South Dakota in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Educational Leadership. Others: Masters in Science Education. Bachelors in Elementary Education. School Improvement Certification from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, along with various certifications and publications. Dr. Johnson is married to Louie and they have 8 children. They make their home in Buffalo Lake near Eden in the Northeast corner of South Dakota.

Deepak Ramola
Deepak Ramola is a wisdom historian and award-winning educator. He currently serves as a lecture and life design fellow at Stanford University and co-teaches the ‘Meaning of Life’ course at MIT. A graduate of Harvard GSE, he previously served as the Kindness Ambassador for UNESCO MGIEP. Over the last 15 years, Deepak has worked at the intersection of wisdom and lifelong learning through his organization Project FUEL, collecting life lessons from 195 countries. His methodology has been recognized as world's top 100 innovations in education and has been adopted across five continents. Deepak is also an accomplished author, with three bestselling books spanning poetry, self-help, and narrative non-fiction.

Charlotte Hankin
Charlotte is an international educator and PhD researcher interested in how education might respond more carefully to nature, place, and multispecies relations in increasingly fragile worlds. Her work explores how complex ecological relationships can be felt, expressed, and learned-with to cultivate capacities for care, responsibility, and multispecies flourishing, and how educational narratives might be co-authored by many rather than by the few.
She has over twenty-five years’ experience across teaching, leadership, school consultancy, and education policy advisory roles for the UK government, working in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and Bali across K–12 and professional learning contexts.
Employing posthumanist, feminist materialist theories, Charlotte is currently completing a PhD in Education at the University of Bath, UK, where her research explores animal–child relations through arts-based approaches. This work received an award from the Australian Journal of Environmental Education in 2025. Alongside her research, she co-founded Coconut Thinking and Unfolding Aliveness, both regenerative and creative educational consultancies and host the Green Spark podcast at Green School Bali.
